Rhodochrosite with Quartz (ex Dave Bergman Collection)

Item Description

This mine has produced some very well known Rhodochrosite specimens in its history. This piece hosts attractive, sharp, translucent, rhombs of beautiful pink colored Rhodochrosite with Quartz forming a nice small miniature specimen. The largest Rhodochrosite crystal measures 4 mm. A good representative specimen for any collector of Rhodochrosites or specimens from Colorado from this well known mine in the San Juan Mountains. This piece was mined by and came from the personal collection of Dave Bergman. Dave is a Colorado miner (the foreman and primary person in charge of recovering specimens at the famous Sweet Home Mine near Alma, Colorado during the late 1970s) and the maternal grandfather of Brian Kosnar.
