Item Description
Perched aesthetically on a quartz matrix is a cluster of lustrous and translucent, rich pink, rhombohedrons of rhodochrosite, to 1 cm in length. A few, colorless quartz crystals , to 1 cm in length, add to the beauty of the rhodos. A very fine miniature size specimen of rhodochrosite from the Sweet Home Mine. While not huge in size and crystals, it is balanced and pretty and makes for a nice representative example of this style, probably form the late 1990s finds. Valued $1800-2200. From the Keith Williams Collection of miniatures and small cabinet specimens - Keith was a well known dealer and collector for decades before retiring recently.
