Beautiful, lustrous and translucent, rose-red rhodochrosite rhombs to 1.5 cm line a sculptural curved vug in this very aesthetic specimen from recent Chinese finds. A sprinkling of sparkly pyrite microcrystals is a nifty accent. The look and the quality of the rhodos could pass for Sweet Home, but the matrix is not right for Sweet Home. This is an outstanding example of the species and size range from this well-known locale.
