Item Description

A good association specimen from this world-class locality. Translucent, red-pink color rhombohedra of Rhodochrosite associated with several, small, lilac color, dodecahedral Fluorite crystals. Some of the Fluorites are clear as glass! These specimens have sky-rocketed in value since the mine closed a few years ago, and the specimens from this mine are certainly among the finest quality Rhodochrosite crystals in the world. For those who don't know, Richard Kosnar mined the Sweet Home for a few years during the late 1970's and managed to collect some excellent Rhodo specimens. This piece is from one of the last pockets that Rich opened before he was done at the mine. Enjoy.
