Rhodochrosite with Fluorite (ex Brian Kosnar Collection)

Item Description

The Sunnyside mine produced some very well known Rhodochrosite specimens in its history, along with some attractive association pieces. This specimen features small, light pink "rosettes" of Rhodochrosite rhombohedra which are associated with pale green, translucent cuboctahedral / dodecahedral Fluorite. This association of pink Rhodochrosite and green Fluorite is uncommon in the mineral world, and is a true staple of any good Colorado collection.
