Item Description
A 3.0 cm cluster of rich cherrry-red, lustrous, translucent, stepped-growth rhodochrosite rhombs with frosted faces is aesthetically set on the layered mixed sulfide and quartz matrix plate. The large rhomb is 1.2 cm. The plate is covered with unknown grayish-white bubbly botryoids, which adds a really stark contrast to the colorful rhodos. Most rhodos from this famous mine are scalenohedrons, so this is a rare and exceptional combination from the W.S. Logan Collection # X21-8. It has two fine display views.
