Rhodochrosite w/ Quartz & Fluorite (classic locale)

Rich rose-red, lustrous, translucent, rhodochrosite rhombs, to 2.7 cm, are aesthetically lined up and are dramatically framed by the starkly contrasting and rare drusy quartz coating. Almost every piece we've seen from famous Pasto Bueno has needle quartz with the rhodochrosite, making this a fine rarity. A super and also rare accent is the well-placed 8 mm gem light blue fluorite octahedron, that is partially covered by the drusy quartz. Quartz crystal sections also add character. This choice, sculptural and rare combination is probably from the early finds around 1977 or 1978. Few of these pieces made it to market.
