Item Description
An excellent 3-piece deal of rare, classic, rose-red, translucent, elongated rhodochrosite scalenohedrons from Santa Eulalia, Mexico. The crystals are aesthetically coated with a druze of quartz and a scattering of tiny quartz crystals! The middle sized crystal is terminated, with the other two crystals being cleaved on both ends. Rhodos, such as this, came out in the late 1970s we are told, with none since. Rare rhodos in this form from Santa Eulalia. The Collector's Choice label also indicates fluorite, but we believe all of overgrowth is quartz, due to the crystal form. Ex. Consie Prince Collection.
