Cherry-red, gemmy and lustrous rhodochrosite scalenohedrons with frosted faces and a few small light lavender fluorite cubes are aesthetically scattered on the contrasting mounded sulfide coated matrix on this showy and sculptural combination miniature from this famous mine. The rhodos reach 1.3 cm and the large fluorite is 5 mm. The two large rhodos have gently cleaved tips and bruising is noted elsewhere. This remains a showy and highly representative combination example of the species and locale. Classic Uchucchacua rhodochrosite.
