Gemmy and lustrous, blocky pretty rich rose-red rhodochrosite rhombs, to 1.0 cm on the diagonal, cover the sulfide matrix on this rich and RARE style rhodo from this obscure Peru district. Most rhodos from here are generally very flattened and curved, looking like flower petals. Specimens of any species are rare and are seldom on the market from this locale.
