Rhodochrosite (uncommon locale)

Item Description

Rhodochrosite specimens are rare from the famous Yaogangxian Mine. The well-formed, flattened, rose-red, thumbnail rhomb is lustrous and translucent and has a lightly weathered surface layer. Only one edge is cleaved. Rare and showy material for this locality, depsite its richness at other mines.
