Rhodochrosite (Soregaroli Coll.)

Item Description

A gorgeous, gem, 1.6 cm, cherry-red, rhodochrosite crystal is artistically set in a vug with two smaller rhodos on this very showy example from this well-known locale. The vug is aesthetically set atop the rich and hefty ore matrix of sulfides and native silver. The outer end of the large rhodo is gently cleaved, but this remains an excellent, highly representative example of the species and locale. Ex Art Soregaroli Collection.
