Rhodochrosite slice circa 1988 find

This is a beautiful, intricately formed specimen that is a slice through a huge stalactite cluster, found in the heyday here of the late 1980s. These large slices I have came out of one old collection, and I have not generally seen this quality available recently. luster and color are very high in quality, and the polish is particularly well done, by lapidary artist Wolfgang Mueller. Although a small bit at each edge is missing, the piece is complete otherwise and makes a really nice display piece in the back of a showcase of specimens. It is 594 grams
