Item Description
Beautiful rich pastel-pink spherical aggregates on scintillating tiny rhodochrosite rhombs richly and attractively cover the sculptural mounded massive manganite ore matrix on this very colorful and showy piece from recent finds at the N'Chwaning II Mine (possbily 2006). The noted periphery wear is certainly only a minor detraction to this piece from the limited find. See the excellent 2017 Mineralogical Record N'Chwaning! article in Vol. 48, No. 1. Formerly in the John Rumble Collection of South Africa. Ex Richard Rossi Collection. Richard is a Senior Fellow of the Mineralogical Record. A colorful and excellent example from the locale.
