Item Description
A beautiful and rarely seen display specimen of Rhodochrosite from the lesser known Santa Rita Mine in Peru featuring gorgeous semi-"rosette"-esque aggregates of lovely baby pink crystals sitting on Quartz matrix with minor sulfides. The largest "ball" of Rhodochrosite measures 9 mm across. A piece like this is rarely seen in Peru, especially with individual isloated Rhodochrosite groups on matrix. It's distinctive in form, color and appearance, but still reminds one of similar looking specimens from the San Juan Mountains of Colorado or Cavnic, Romania. Valued at $650. From the collection of Dennus Uridil with an old Rocksmiths label.
