An incredibly hard to find specimen of Rhodochrosite labeled as coming from the Drum Mine in Juab County Utah. Perhaps this is in reference to the Major Drum Mine in Millard County, but the Drum Mountains (sometimes called the Detroit Mountains) lie in both Juab and Millard counties, so you can see why there is a bit of confusion. With that said, you almost never see any Rhodochrosite specimens from Utah, and I can't remember ever having a piece labeled as coming from the Drum Mine, so this is a big deal for anybody who is interested in rare locality specimens of Rhodochrosite. The piece features a patch of small, sharp, lustrous, compressed rhombic crystals of soft pink colored Rhodochrosite on matrix. It may not be the showiest Rhodochrosite in the world, but how often do you see something like this on the market? Don't miss out, it's the only one we have to offer from this locality.
