Item Description
There are many iconic manganese-bearing minerals from Broken Hill, including some very distinctive, yet hard to find Rhodochrosite specimens. This small cabinet is a fine, old-time specimen covered with sparkly, sugary, pastel-pink, Rhodochrosite microcrystals on a thin slab of matrix from this famous locality. The underside shows a layer of iridescent Pyrite, which is known to be found associated with the Rhodos from Broken Hill.
From the collection of Colin Manlove.
