Item Description
Rhodochrosite specimens from this well-known Mendip Hills quarry are extremely rare. One side of the matrix features a rich sprinkling of isolated and discrete, sparkly and translucent, reddish-brown, rhombs and disks, while the other side is encrusted with sparkly microcrystals. The crystals are about 1 mm long. Super-rare material from this classic Somerset locale and probably old-time, as well. Ex Howard Belsky Collection.
