Item Description
Mineral specimens of ANY species are rare from this obscure wolframite deposit. This impressive sharp rhomb has juicy, cherry-red color, high luster. Two faces are terminated and frosted by matrix contacting (which proves they are real faces, as well), two faces are contacts where it was attached to or growing against other crystals/matrix, and two are cleavages. The crystal GLOWS with bright saturation, when backlit. Rare and desirable Japanese rhodochrosite. It was priced at $450 at Tucson this year and traded to us
