Rhodochrosite (rare Colorado locale) (ex Brian Kosnar Collection)

Item Description

This piece was personally collected by Robert Stoufer in 2013. It comes from a hard to find locality in the San Juan Mountains. The Gold Prince mine is part of the Sunnyside Extension, but this piece is not from the Sunnyside itself, which is an important distinction for a Colorado collector, or even a worlwide Rhodochrosite collector. It features soft pink Rhodochrosite on white Quartz matrix. This is a great one to mark off your checklist if you collect obscure Colorado Rhodochrosite localities.
