Item Description

Lustrous, bright pastel-pink microcrystalline rhodochrosite rhombs are richly sprinkled with sharp, frosted quartz points, to 5 mm, and cover the sculptural 3-dimensional matrix of quartz with sulfides. This classic, rich and showy combination is from the famous, ancient and now extinct mines at Cavnic. The mines closed in 2008. Ex W.S. Logan Collection # X13-6
