Item Description
A showy and sculptural two-sided small cabinet combination from the famed Sweet Home Mine. A few gemmy light rose-red rhodochrosite rhombs, to 4 mm, are attractively scattered on the front of the mounded sulfide matrix richly covered with needle and drusy quartz. You can see a sharp 4 mm sphalerite crystal next to a rhodo on the left. The back is almost entirely crystallized sulfides. The matrix appears to be mostly tetrahedrite with scattered clusters of bornite-coated sphalerite crystals. A showy and rich association specimen from this renowned locale. Priced by the former dealer at $350 in the mid-1990s.
