Item Description

Pretty pastel-pink rhodochrosite rhombs, to 1.0 cm on the diagonal, are aesthetically clustered on the mounded miniature quartz and sulfide matrix. This showy combination is from a VERY UNCOMMON Colorado locality, the Daniel Bonanza Mine in Ouray County. Some of the rhodos are partially overgrown by sparkly drusy quartz and the yellow oxide tinting is a nice contrast. RARE and desirable San Juan rhodochrosite from the W.S. Logan Collection # X13-3. A must for the species or locality collector.
