Item Description

Rhodochrosite is RARE, compared to other species, from the famous Yaogangxian Mine. It is also very rare in association with yellow Helvine, a Be-Mn silicate with Sulfur. This showy, rich and colorful combination rarity is highlighted by the 4.0 cm wide tapering stepped-growth cluster of frosted pastel-pink to rose-red, translucent, tabular looking rhodochrosite rhombs. The rhodos are jauntily set in the blocky quartz matrix dramatically accented with starkly contrasting Helvine sections. A significant and colorful Yaogangxian combination rhodochrosite rarity from the W.S. Logan Collection # X59-2.
