Sharp, pink, rhodochrosite rhombs, to 1.5 cm on the diagonal, and a couple of dramatic frosted quartz spikes line an attractive vug in sculptural quartz-rich matrix on this excellent and aesthetic small cabinet from the famous Sunnyside Mine. Classic Colorado combination material from the Bob Trimingham Collection. Purchased in 1968, while mine was active.
