Item Description

A showy and classic combination miniature from the famous Sunnyside Mine, opened in the 1880s and worked intermittently until 1991. A 1.8 cm cluster of lustrous, translucent, rose-red rhodochrosite rhombs is attractively set on in a small vug in the quartz, rhodochrosite and sulfide matrix. Older material from the 1960s or 70s from an East Coast collection.
