Item Description

A VERY RARE combination from this less well-known Peru polymetallic mine. Similar combination specimens of nubby aggregates of translucent pastel-pink rhodochrosite flattened rhodochrosite rhombs with scattered water-clear quartz points, such as this rich and showy small cabinet are known. BUT - this rarity features a well-placed 1.5 cm dense next of iridescent Boulangerite needles! MINDAT does not list Boulangerite for the locale. There is also Pyrite and Tetrahedrite or Sphalerite with Quartz in the underlying matrix. Very rare, perhaps unique, combination material from the W.S. Logan Collection # X24-6.
