Item Description

A really rare specimen featuring two distinct crystals of scalenohedral Calcite which have been pseudomorphed by light pink Rhodochrosite. The Remedios Mine is an uncommon locality for Rhodochrosite in Mexico, but these pseudomorphs are incredibly hard to find. The larger crystal measures 4.3 cm, and is actually doubly-terminated. The smaller of the two crystals is actually contacted on the base, revealing its translucent colorless Calcite interior. If you collect carbonates, pseudomorphs, miniatures or Mexican minerals, don't miss out on this unique and eye-catching specimen that will make a great addition to your collection. This piece is priced at $950.
