Rhodochrosite ps. Serandite (rare!)

Serandites of significant size are virtually the realm of the famous Mont Saint-Hilaire, and then to have them subsequestly pseudomorphed into Rhodochrosite makes these specimens extremely rare things. Unique, in fact - from one pocket, for this quality (in the 1980s if i recall). The blades are sharp and in excellent contition. As is often the case, some of the terminations were/are contacted but those are also replaced in full now. The dusty rose color is attractive, and the overall piece is in good condition. This is a display quality, aesthetic piece - a showy and outstanding example of this rare replacement. Simply not on the market, this is a really strange and rare replacement of rhocochrosite after one of the rarest display-sized members of the Mt St Hilaire group of oddball minerals. It is display-worthy on its own, and would fool anybody who sees this to try to guess what it is.  valued $1000-1200
