Item Description
Rhodochrosite pseudomorphs after serandite are unique in the world to this famous locale (admittedly its the only place to get big serandites in the first place). This is an elegant, complete all-around specimen with jackstraw clusters of pastel salmon-pink blades. This is actually an aesthetic specimen, as most such pieces from this small find are jumbly and incomplete. This excellent combination piece also features famous Mont St-Hilaire accessory minerals, a plethora of glassy natrolite prisms and pearlescent, platy, polylithionite crystals. Most of the pseudo terminations appear to have been contacted with the roof of the vug, but have little actual damage. This is a display quality, aesthetic piece - a rare, very showy and outstanding example of this rare replacement. I believe they were only found once, or in one small zone, here, some time ago.
