Item Description

This impressive large and colorful mounded plate is covered with lustrous, translucent, pretty pastel-pink, rhodochrosite rhombs that have pseudomorphed jackstraw, tabular, barite blades. Mineral specimens of ANY species are rare from this obscure Peru mine. Very nearly pristine, with only a couple of gently bruised crystals, which have very minimal impact on the quality and importance of this fine, two-sided pseudomorph rarity. Ex Art Soregaroli Collection (he had a huge Peru suite and edited the large book on Minerals of Peru). A must for the locality or species collector. Valued at $750-1000
