Item Description

A nifty, well-placed, 7 mm, corsage of teeny pastel-pink, rhodochrosite rhombs is an accent to this rich and showy mounded specimen of splendent, twinned, dark metallic-gray, sphalerite crystals from the well-known Wudong Mine of China. This lead-zinc mine is much better known as the source of the fine rhodochrosites that came from China. Sparkly clusters of pyrite crystals and quartz sprays add color and character. All three accessories are much in evidence on the broken base. Ore and sphalerite association specimens of this quality are very rare from this locality. Ex. Wes Parker Collection. valued $500
