Item Description
Frosted, translucent, pretty rose-red rhodochrosite rhombohedrons, to 1.4 cm on the diagonal, are richly and attractively festooned on the underlying sphalerite and pyrite ore matrix. There are also a few quartz points noted along the edges of the piece, that add character. A few of the rhodos have cleaved faces, but certainly nothing to detraction, for all the richness. Ex De Natura (Les Presmyk) dealer stock. This colorful, showy and rich small cabinet combination is from the well-known Pachapaqui District of Peru.
