A classic, 2.0 cm, lustrous, translucent, rose-red, rhodochrosite rhomb is elegantly perched atop needle quartz matrix on this fine specimen from the famous 1970s finds at the famous Huayllapon Mine at Pasto Bueno. Complete all-around and pristine. This is certainly an above average example of the combination species and noted locale. Rarely available in this quality, except from recycled advanced collections.
