A showy and excellent combination specimen from the historic mines at Cavnic. Vibrant, pastel-pink clusters of flattened rhodochrosite rhombs are richly and attractivelly scattered on the field of radial aggregates of sparkly quartz points. The ancient mines at Cavnic are now extinct, having closed in 2008. Old-time material from the famous Irenee du Pont and University of Delaware Collections. this is a beautiful, sparkly specimen - more impressive in person.
