Item Description

The Zanett tunnel is named after the family that owns the Grizzly Bear mine. Rhodochrosite specimens from this mine are among some of the most sought after San Juan Rhodochrosites by Colorado collectors. This specimen hosts dozens of sharp, well-foremd, bright pink rhombohedrons of Rhodochrosite sitting on a plate of gemmy "needle" Quartz. The Quartz crystals have that characteristic pale green hue that is commonly associated with Grizzly Bear Rhodos. The largest Rhodochrosite crystal measures 7 mm, and despite a little bit of damage, the majority of the crystals are damage free. A beautiful small cabinet sized display specimen of this classic material. Valued at $900-$1000.
