Item Description

The Zanett tunnel is named after the family that owns the Grizzly Bear mine. Rhodochrosite specimens from this mine are among some of the most sought after San Juan Rhodochrosites by Colorado collectors. This specimen hosts unusual light pink "balls" of Rhodochrosite sitting on Quartz on host rock matrix. The Quartz crystals have that characteristic pale green hue that is commonly associated with Grizzly Bear Rhodos. A beautiful miniature cabinet sized display specimen of this classic material.
