Item Description
An adorable 360-degree rhodochrosite and quartz minature from this well-known old San Juan mine. Pastel-pink rhombs with frosted faces, to about 9 mm on the diagonal, are very aesthetically scattered on the striking quartz plate highlighted by two sharply terminated crystals. The Zanett haulage tunnel was driven in 1981 to intersect the old Grizzly Bear working (MINDAT). Collected by well-known Colorado field collector, collector and mineral dealer (Columbine Mineral Shop in Ouray) in June, 1985. Ex W.S. Logan Collection # X75. A very choice rhodo and quartz combination from the mine.
