A sculptural and excellent mounded combination miniature from the famous Idarado Mine. Pretty pastel-pink, sparkly, sugary nubby spherical aggregates of tiny rhodochrosite rhombs are very aesthetically scattered on the mounded matrix of tightly intergrown transparent quartz points. The tan oxide coating is a nice contrast. Ex W.S. Logan Collection # X17-3 and illustrated on Page 83 of his 2013 self-published book, Rhodchrosite - Crystals of Drama and Nuance. Classic, uncommon and desirable Idarado rhodo.
