Item Description

The Zanett tunnel is named after the family that owns the Grizzly Bear mine. Rhodochrosite specimens from this mine are among some of the most sought after San Juan Rhodochrosites by Colorado collectors. This specimen hosts a few white colored rhombs of Rhodochrosite (which are encrusted with Quartz) sitting on Quartz crystal matrix. The largest Rhodochrosite rhomb measures 1.1 cm across, and is damage free. A beautiful large miniatures / small cabinet sized specimen of this classic material.
