Item Description

A sculptural, vuggy 2-generation rhodochrosite on crystallized manganite ore specimen from the famous late 1970s finds at the N'Chwaning I Mine. The larger vug is lined with beautiful cherry-red scalenohedrons with rounded terminations. The smaller vug is lined with nifty stacked clusters of frosted flattened translucent, rose-red rhodo rhombs. The crystallized manganite on the back is a fine accessory to this unusual combination style rhodochrosite specimen from the W.S. Logan Collection # X97.
