Item Description

Sparkly spherical aggregates of pretty pastel-pink rhodochrosite micro-rhombs richly and colorfully cover the 3-dimensional mounded matrix on this very fine and uncommon combination from the famed Potosi Mine at Santa Eulalia. The underlying matrix is Hisingerite, an uncommon amorphous to poorly crystalline hydrated iron(III) layered silicate. It is often misidentified as hematite or goethite. Choice, rare and exceptional combination material from the W.S. Logan Collection # X40-1. SUPERB exmaple of sparkling Mexico rhodo, valued $750-900
