Globules of lustrous, translucent, rose-brown rhodochrosite microcrystals intergrown with tiny nailhead spar elongated calcite crystals are densely festooned on the large sculptural calcite cleavage. A most unusual form and association from the renowned Broken Hill deposit. Rhodochrosite is an uncommon accessory from here. Formerly in the G. & J. Akkerman Collection. Choice and rare style combination rhodo from the W.S. Logan Collection # X91-6.
