Rhodochrosite on Analcime

Item Description

A 2.2 cm, lustrous, translucent, mottled reddish-brown, rhodochrosite rhomb is attractively set on the side of a large, sharp, analcime crystal and flanked on one side by smaller analcimes. The analcimes have porcelaneous luster and snow-white color. One corner of the rhodo is cleaved, but is only a modest detraction. Classic and showy combination material from the famous Poudrette Quarry.
