Here is an interesting and pretty combination from older finds at Santa Eulalia of a classic combo of rhodochrosite with quartz: millimeter sized spherical aggregates of glistening pastel pink Rhodochrosite covering the matrix with an association of sharp, transparent water clear Quartz crystals. The Quartz crystals are all well terminated and exhibit a prismatic habit, with the largest crystal measuring 2.3 cm. The display face is in great condition, as are the Quartz crystals. The impressive clarity of the Quartz is a cool feature that results in the crystals almost disappearing from view allowing the pink color of the Rhodochrosite to show through. This great and uncommon Rhodochrosite combo piece is set apart from others from this locality by the fantastic Quartz crystal development making it a worthy addition to any collection. These came out in the 1980s.
