Item Description
An amazing twisted cluster of rhodochrosite helectites (contorted cave forms) and stalactites from Argentina. Stacked rose-pink flattened rhodochrosite rhombs comprise this surreal looking two-sided piece. One side and an edge are preferentially coated with grayish-green chlorite or manganese oxides adding character. Rhodochrosite of this bizarre form and quality came from the 1988-1989 finds at this famous locale. This is a stylish, aesthetic, and really nicely balanced piece, very unusual in form!
