Rhodochrosite (Halpern Coll.) - rare twinned form

We are honored to be able to help deaccession so many fine specimens from the Jack Halpern collection, so they can go to new homes with other collectors. This is one of the style of fine miniatures of which Jack is so fond, because it is different than most others of the species, and still beautiful in color or form, or both. This is a rare, twinned rhodochrosite, of a style that only came out of a few pockets in the 1980s in Quebec. It features sharp, twinned crystals of rhodochrosite to over an inch. Fine specimens of this quality, without excessive damage, are now rare on the market and only come from old collections. These are generally valued at $1000-2000.
