Item Description

The Sunnyside Mine was the source of some of the most iconic Rhodochrosite specimens, not only from Colorado, but anywhere in the United States. This pieces features many well-formed, lustrous, sharp, attractive rhombohedra of fine pink colored Rhodochrosite sitting atop sparkling, almost "drusy" white Quartz on matrix. The largest Rhodo crystal measures about 3.5 mm, but they are really good quality in terms of sharpness and luster. From a prominent Midwest collection that we recently acquired. Valued at $600.
