Rhodochrosite & Galena on Pyrite (classic Colorado)

Rhodochrosite is uncommon from any of the mines in the famous Leadville District. Only two mines produced any quantity of quality specimens, the Julia Fisk being one. The very cute and colorful combination miniature features clusters of flattened, light pink rhombs attractively set with contrasting, splendent galena crystals on the intensely sparkly matrix of microcrystalline pyrite. Excellent and uncommon combination material from this locale. A MUST for the Colorado, locality or species collector.
