Item Description

Wow! An impressive, rich and colorful large rhodochrosite combination plate from the famous Sweet Home Mine. Gorgeous, gemmy, light cherry-red rhombs, to 1.5 cm, are dramatically peppered on the matrix. Fine accessories include a super 2.0 cm curtain of needle quartz crystals against the two largest rhombs, more quartz needles, quite a few cute zoned purple fluorite cubes, to 4 mm, sulfides, including golden chalcopyrite sphenoids, pyritohedrons and tetrahedrite AND small hard-to-see apatites (yellow fluorescence). This excellent large piece displays dramatically from either side. Periphery wear is noted along one edge and one face of the large rhomb is cleaved. This remains an imposing, rich and very colorful large combination from this renowned locale. This piece would brighten up any display! Valued at $4000-5000 for richness and size.
